MM 14385 :: Stone vessel, Toilette object, Dish
- Object description
A small dish with an inscription:
`The good God Maat-ka-re, he has made it his monument to his father Neb-hepet- re, the blessed´. At a later date another inscription has been incised infront of maj ×rw, namely´The good God Mencheperu -re, Osiris´, whereby ´Osiris´ has come to stand above ntr nfr, which belonged to the first inscription. The vessel carries a dedication from Hatschepsut to Neb-hepet-re of the 11 Dynasty. It has later been usurped by Tuthmosis IV. Compare a similar vessel, which also has belonged to Hatschepsut and usurped by Tuthmosis IV, ; Carter, H. and P.E. Newberry, The Tomb of Thoutmosis IV, Westminster, 1904, p.2 and pl. II
Traces of green colour (malachite?) on the top and inside.
