low waste/zero waste
- Object description
We aim to have the students see an overviwhich are low waste/zero waste, and to then select one to analyse more deeply.
They will then attempt to recreate its form (just using calico) and there fore to work out what the low waste /zero waste pattern may have been. So they will need to take detailed photographs and drawings, see the detailed of how the garment form is made. The surface textile design is less important than its form, although if there is textile manipulations that create the form then that is important. If its only decoration (like beading for colour etc) then its less important.
