Object description

Stråkinstrument med ljudkropp av kokosnöt med utskuren dekor på baksidan och två stämskruvar med dekoration av ben, samt stråke av tagel och textilöverdraget trä.

Detta instrument, en s.k. t´i-chin (pinyin tiqin), har två strängar och spelas med stråke av hästtagel. Tiqin är inte så vanligt nuförtiden./CR

Beskrivning: Missionär. Avskildes 1892 till missionär inom Svenska Missionen i Kina. Prästvigd 1902. I Kina var S. lärare i manliga seminariet i Yuncheng och tjänstgjorde dessutom en längre tid som sekreterare och kassör på fältet. Tjänstgjorde senare som komminister i Bergvik. /US
