This Inuit (Eskimo) collection is a fine addition to the museum´s substantial amount of small models (e.g. boats, sledges, houses), not only from the Inuit of Greenland. Such models became incrasingly popular
among traders, collectors and dealers with the growth of ethnography, world trade and tourism, particularly since the 1800s. The production gave, and still does, some extra income to e.g. aboriginal populations. (SB, 2010-03-22).
