Object description: Sir Henry Wellcome, London, grundare till ett farmaceutiskt företag med anslutande forskningsinstitut: The Wellcome Medical Institution, med ett medicinskt forskningsbibliotek samt ett medicinhistoriskt museum. Till museet samlade han etnografika från uppköpare i olika delar av världen. Stora delar av denna enorma samling skänktes bort till andra museer, bl.a. till Statens Etnografiska Museum, se samling 1955.18.
