John Hart, född 12 augusti 1838, London, död 25 januari 1900, Papeete, Tahiti. Donerade föremål 1884 från Marquesasöarna till Hjalmar Stolpe när Vanadis kom förbi Tahiti. Han omnämns i Robert Louis Stevensons bok "In the South Seas", kapitel 12 The story of a plantation.
