Henry was a Haisla artist, born in 1934 in Kemano, BC. His Haisla name was Ga-ba-baawk meaning “Ten Ravens’, and his crest was a Raven.
At the age of ten, Henry began carving under the influence of his father, Gordon Robertson. Throughout his life, Henry carved masks, feast bowls, toten poles, and more, and his work has been exhibited throughout North America. He carved a totem pole for the Aboriginal Aboriginal Friendship Centre in Vancouver, BC.. He was also responsible for the Aboriginal Pavilion at the PNE in Vancouver from 2004-2006.
