The five day Sri Lanka Cultural Festival in Stockholm was launched at the Etnografiska Museum on 24 August, presenting destination Sri Lanka and facets of Sri Lanka’s culture, arts and literature, cuisine, dance, Ayurveda, film and music.
Exotic traditional Sri Lankan dances - Pooja natuma, Nagaraksha & Suramba Valliya - amidst a distinguished audience and partners. Rohan Fernandopulle, Bocuse d’ Or President Sri Lanka teamed up with Swedish Chef Carola Magnusson to present authentic Sri Lankan dishes showcasing the rich culinary heritage of the island.
The Festival also includes presentations of fine Ceylon Dilmah Tea, creative arts industry, Sri Lankan Ayurveda products, Sri Lankan literature some of which have been translated to Swedish such as Madol Duwa, authentic Sri Lankan spices, handicrafts, screening of films produced by Swedish producer Stephan Quinth.
