artist's sketch, ostracon
- Object description
- Ostracon, one side even, the other rounded. Sketch on one side in black. On a base is a throne, on which is seated a goddess, facing right, with a table in front of her. To the right of the table are two gazelles which are facing the goddess. On the back of the throne is a hanging piece of fabric. The goddess is wearing a garment with shoulder straps and a belt. At the ankles are three parallel lines. She is wearing a collar, earrings and a headdress with five feathers on it. She is holding a sceptre in her left hand and a ankh-sign in her right hand. An inscription to the right of the headdress reads: “Anukis Lady of??". On the table are pieces of bread and plants.
