MM 14111 :: artist's sketch, ostracon

Object description: Ostracon, some edges seems worked and rounded. Sketch on one side in black. It shows a man standing in a chariot, drawn by two horses, heading to the right. The garments of the man are only vaguely outlined, except for the helmet. His arms are held out in front of him, in one hand he is holding a whip, in the other an unidentified object, possibly an arrow. The reins are tied around his waist. The horses are covered by some kind of fabric or animal skin and have feathers decorating their heads. Mounted with metal pins on fabric.
