- Object description
- Mouldmade, small, plastic lamp in the form of a ship. Narrow and deep-bottomed, with a keel and bilge-strakes around the edges of the bottom, having indications of studded bolts. The deck is slightly concave, with an edge of a row of studs between ridges. The main area is taken up with a studded, panelled and slightly stylised Sacred Monogram in relief, between two filling-holes. The vertical stem of the ‘rho’ is raised and at the middle of it there is a pierced loop for hanging up the lamp. The wick-hole is placed at the stern; adjacent to which, is a wick-hole channel. Brick-red clay, traces after oil on surface.
