Object description: Portrait head of young Sabina, consort of Hadrian. Full, oval face with soft, regular features. High forehead. Almond-shaped eyes with irises indicated by faint incisions. Upper and lower eyelids indicated. Thin, softly arched brows. Full lips. Elaborate hairstyle with two rows of symmetrical, flat locks above the forehead, a large coil of plait encircling the crown and loose strands of hair at the nape of neck. Fine-grained marble with pale yellow surface.

Description: You will find parts of the Greek and Roman collections along one side of the central hall. One section highlights the ancient mythology. Below are pottery and sculpture with motifs taken from the Greek myths, such as the deities Athena, Apollo and Artemis, and the heroes Achilles, Heracles, Orpheus and exciting adventures. Also the symposium, the Greek men's drinking, is depicted in a booth . Here you will find all the different parts of tableware and many images of Dionysos , the god of wine.

Most of neck, nose, part of chin and part of plait near right ear missing. Lips chipped. Break at nose has been pared off and preparated for repair. Large, dark yellow blotches on surface.
