- Bust of Dionysos. Head slightly tilted to the left (figure’s right). Full, oval face with high forehead. Almond-shaped eyes with upper and lower eyelids indicated, framed by thin eyebrows. Straight nose. Rather small mouth with full, slightly parted lips. Face framed by hair, rendered in loose waves, drawn back from the face and tied in a knot at the nape of the neck, leaving some long strands falling down each side of the neck. On the head is a naturalistically rendered ivy wreath with leaves and berries, its ends tied togeteher at the back of the head. White marble with highly polished surface.

This is a wonderful descriptions of the art piece as well as the way sources were put together. Thus, many grammar and spelling were incorrect therefore I suggest a humble scan through of the grammar in exhibitions and spelling in description. /Student
