Object description

Large dolium with stamped decoration. Flaring foot, tall ovoid body, tapering downwards, offset flaring rim. Grey-black clay.

The edge of the foot is moulded, the body is grooved. On the shoulder is stamped decoration: rider on horse back within a rectangular frame; the rider is small, the legs of the horse tall; in the left corner two concentric circles - repeated eleven times. Naked running man, once. Horizontal ridge beneath the figure frieze. Inside of rim grooved.
