- Object description
- Consists of a tapering twisted wire hoop terminating at the broader end with a human head. The hoop has been formed by twisting four smooth wires. The transition from the hoop to the head is effacted by a collar consisting of a spooled wire on either side of a concave ring. The loop for attachement has been placed at the back of the head. The face of the child is round with broad smooth contours. The tip of the nose and the slightly pounting lips lie in a cavity formed by the protruding cheeks and chin. The profile is distinctively flat. A braid in relief begins at the center of the forehead and ends just below the loop. The rest of the hair is chased in a symmetrically pattern of wavy lines. The child might represent Eros.
