Object description: Amphoroid crater. Flat disc-base; piriform body; short, wide, concave neck; horizontal rim; flat handles from rim to shoulder; vertical ridge on mid-handle; two string-hole projections on upper and lower handle. Hard, pinkish buff clay with greyish core; semi-lustrous, buff slip; semi-lustrous orange red to dark brown paint. Base painted; bands encircling lower body; bands encircling mid-body; waterbirds with latticed, curved bodies, large, globular eyes, U-pattern (FM 45.5) and wave-pattern, below birds, on either side of shoulder; neck painted; groups of transverse strokes on rim; handles, except ridge, painted.
