- Object description
- Raised, narrow disc ring-base; piriform body; three vertical, flat handles on shoulder with incised signs; rather tall slightly concave neck; sloping rim. Hard, pinkish buff clay; matt, light beige buff slip. Lustrous red paint; base and lower part of body painted; lines encircling lower- mid- and upper body; handles painted; bands of scale-pattern framing concentric semi-circles in handle-zone, groups of transverse lines on rim; neck painted; inside rim painted. Decoration worn. Incised signs on handles; one vertical line on one handle; one vertical line with a horizontal line on the second handle; one vertical stroke with three crossing horizontal lines one the third handle.
