V. 006 :: sculpture

Object description: Torso of male statue with left leg slightly advanced. Left arm slightly bent beside body. Chiton with short sleeves and V-shaped neck-line. On right arm, from neck-line to the end of the garment just above the elbow, the fabric is rendered as ‘buttoned’ together at short intervals. Plain himation over left shoulder with marked border obliquely across breast; the end of the garment falls behind left shoulder. Iron dowels (now removed) were passed vertically through the lower parts of the legs. White limestone.
