V. 480 :: fragment, sculpture

Object description: Head and neck belonging to female life-size sculpture. Oval face, prominent, heavy chin, rather small, smiling mouth, long nose, bulging forehead. Almond-shaped eyes with marked eyebrows. The front curls of the hair rendered by circular, flat pellets slightly overlapping each other. Ears covered by large spiral earrings. Diadem around head decorated with circular pellets. Below the pellets hang tear-shaped pendants. Two spirally twisted plaits of hair falling down on shoulders on either side. Necklace around neck with circular pendant. Red clay.
