NM Ant 1556 :: lamp

Object description: Mouldmade lamp. Low body with convex profile; groove indicating a flat base. Concave discus with asymmetrically located opening. Moulded rim; shoulder-form is Loeschckes Typus VI.b . Rounded nozzle, heart-shaped on its upper surface. No handle. Plastic decoration on discus - a griffin (?) on the back of a kneeling human being with strange head. On the base an inscription and a ring-and-dot pattern. Light-brown clay, brown slip, spotted on sides.
