- Object description
- White and red ivy-trail inside rim. Red palmettes below and around handles. On one side of body; an ephoebos with his gymnasiarchos: A youth stands holding a strigil in his left hand. Opposite is his teacher, who makes a vivid gesture with his right hand and leans agaist a stick. On the other side; a maenad looking right, with right hand covered by the drapery of the himation and left hand outstretched, holding a large thyrsos. Taeniae are painted white. Facing her stands a male figure, holding a horn in his right hand.
