- Object description
Irregular rectangular body resting on four feet, lid (missing) was attached to the body with two hinges and fastened with a frontal hasp. Cast brass, engraved and gilded with silver inlay. Front panel, two medallions of interlaced plain band forming a fourfoil rosette with lotus blossoms and loops flanking the attachment of the lid. Back panel, rests of hinge, central medallion , this medallion is flanked by arabesques. Side panels, plain bands interlace with lotus blossoms, Each panel is outlined with a rectangular band of kufic calligraphy on a floral background, pieces of silver inlay in angles, threefoil buds in an ovoid medallion.
Legs intertwined medallion on each face (has two).
