- Object description
Page, in the lower part, naskh in six columns, irregularly positioned, thus not in straight horizontal lines. Upper part dominated by the miniature-painting. All-over colored background in red (claimed to be a tradition on wall painting from sassanian times), costumes gilded (worn off), horses in shades from pale reddish yellow to brownish black, brick walls all-over pale reddish yellow, openings all-over black. The scene represents a battle scene between riders, four from the left and three to the right. On a tower in the upper left part of the picture stand three spectators in soldiers clothing. A white bird is in the middle upper part of the picture (for piece?).
Verso, 34 lines of naskh written with black ink in, irregular horizontal lines, divided into six columns outlined with red ink. The bottom line has a frame in red ink mentions “Bahrâm Kûr”.
