S.N. I 0028 :: sphero-conical vessel

Object description: Sphero-conical body, rounded shoulder, rounded neck heavy pale greyish yellow paste. Decoration, 5 concentric registers on the upper half of the body, stamped with almond-shaped designs, on shoulder, plain lines.

Object description: The function of this particular type of vessel is unknown, but many possible functions have been proposed, including fire-blowers (aeolipiles), grenades, flasks, lamps, loom-weights and architectural ornaments.
