- Object description
Four adults: one male, one female?, two male/female?
One subadult: male/female?
- Object description
It is convincingly male in its appearance, with emphasized sex markers, the pelvis
also falling into the male range. The sutural closure is extensive, indicating an age at death of
between 30 and 60 years. The auricular surface and pubic symphyses also give an estimation
of around 40 years at death. Both humeri display septal apertures in the fossa olecrani. The patellar surfaces of both
femora display eburnation, on the left covering an area of about 20mm in diameter, on the
right 13mm wide and 8mm high. The diaphyses of both femora are slightly bent in an
anteroposterior direction.
The grave goods associated with skeleton A are a scarab (41), placed on the right hand,
a toggle pin (2) and a cylindrical juglet (1) (Kenyon 1960:471). Hietanen, Linnea, p.15-16.
