- Object description
The remains of skeleton E were some of the most well preserved in the collection, lying farthest from the chamber entrance.
The cranium, femoral head and pelvic girdle all suggest that skeleton E is female while the cranial sutures and auricular surface testify that she most likely died young, perhaps around her twenties. The iliac crest shows a deep groove, demonstrative of an active or not yet complete fusion, indicating that the age estimation must fall in between 17 and 23 years old. Particularities of this skeleton are also a metopic suture, some porosity of the parietal, occipital and temporal bones as well as bilateral septal apertures. Additionally there is a fusion of two bones in the foot (phalange two and three). Both humeri of skeleton E displays septal apertures.
Grave goods associated with skeleton E are one toggle pin (23), one scarab (32) and comb fragments (31) (Kenyon 1960:473) Hietanen, Linnea, p. 121
