- Object description
The remains of skeleton M are few and fragmentary. The only elements represented are the cranium, mandible, maxilla, some vertebrae, ribs and a scapula. These are all very small and fragile, the dental phase indicating an age of no more than one or two years at death. The endocranial aspect of the skull vault fragments have been glued together and show scattered pitting. The size of these lesions range from just one millimetre to almost 10mm in diameter, some of them penetrating the thin skull vault.
The remains seem to correlate with the tomb sketch, being depicted as a pile of shards above the head of skeleton L, most likely representing the skull of skeleton M. No grave goods have been associated with this skeleton. Hietanen, Linnea, p.32-33
