Interpreting ceramics

- Object description
- Some of the decorations on ceramics depict scenes from the environment of the Nile Valley. Mountains, palm trees, water and gazelles can be seen on the vessels.There are also images of women with raised arms. These women are believed to be either dancing or mourning. In some locations, boats featuring cabins and numerous oars are a recurrent motif.
