Swedish excavations at Dendra (1926-1927)

Description: The Swedish excavations at Dendra were initiated in 1926 when Axel W. Persson investigated a Mycenaean tholos tomb (Late Helladic IIIa period, c. 1450–1350 BC) at the site. In 1927 Persson explored three more graves, while the local ephor N. Bertos excavated another two.
