Object description: Athanasia Neofytou, married to goldsmith Neofytos Neofytou who was the son of the Milia village mukhtar (also mouktar, a civilian administrator, a type of lesser mayor) Elias Neofytou at the time of the Swedish Cyprusexpedition (1927-1935). Athanasia was mother of Panagiota and Andreas Neofytou later named Andreas Chrysochos (his last name was changed by a teacher into his fathers profession, ie Chrysochos=goldsmith).
