Object description

Kniv

Knife with hilt terminating in an ibex-head.

The hilt of this knife is unique. It is covered by a fishbone pattern, and the same type of lines are found on the horns of the ibex. At the middle of the handle is a projection in the shape of a stylized bird. The shape of the bird reminds of the those found on bone hair-pins found in Anyang tombs. The bronze has probably originally inlays of turquoise.
