Object description

Liten kopp av lack, från Kina. Koppen är på utsidan dekorerad med mönster i upphöjd relief, på insidan skodd med metall. Även undersidan har reliefdekor, samt tre kinesiska tecken skrivna med rött.

Enligt katalogkort: “Chinese lacquer cup. Period: 15th century. Description: Carved lacquer in guri-style. Slanting sides, rounded mouth, slightly sunk base. Exterior with cloud-scroll of ju-i type, base with three-foil design. Rim and interior lined with silver. Three characters on base: Ku Chi Ch’ü (probably a shop mark.) Measures: D. 60mm H. 42mm. Purchased: Bequest of H.M. King Gustaf VI Adolf. No 2605. Dossier: J. Wirgin: BMFEA 44/1972, Pl. 8a. Expo: Denmark 1975, No 151.”

Material: Lack i omväxlande svarta och röda skift.
