Object description

Enligt katalogkort: “Chinese rhinoceros wine cup. Period: Ch’ing, K’ang-hsi. Description: Brown horn, carved in quatrefoil shape. Decor of climbing dragons in archaic style, two of them forming the handle. Around waist a border of stylized t’ao-t’ieh masks; on each side a “raising blade”, as to be found on KU bronze beakers. Measures: H. 145mm L. 134mm. Purchased: Gift from the Princess of Hessen in 1972. Bequest of H.M. King Gustaf VI Adolf. No 2623. Dossier: Expo: Denmark 1975, Malmö 1976, no 179.”
