Enligt katalogkort: “Chinese rhinoceros wine cup. Period: Early Ming. Description: Carved in shape of a hollow trunk with a man seated in a niche of branches, holding a lotus flower. Decoration representing the Han poet-statesman Chang Ch’ien in his vessel, floating down the Yellow river. Underneath, two whirlpools. Measures: L. 185mm H. 80mm. Purchased: Bequest of H.M.
