Object description

Skål av lackerat trä, från Kina. Koppen är dekorerad på de utställda handtagen med röda geometriska figurer mot rödbrun bakgrund, en likadan bård löper runt skålen övre kant på insidan.

Enligt katalogkort: “Lackerad träskål med sidoställda handtag och ornerad med en spröd dekor.

Material: Lack över tygbeklädd trästomme.

Mått: L. 155mm, Br. 125mm, H. 50mm.

Enligt katalogkort: “Chinese lacquer wine cup. Period: Han. Description: Shallow oval cup with thick sloaping rounded handle, the textile covered veneered body painted in red and brown on a brown ground with a band of an abstract zoomorphic design on the rim and handle, the interior plain red, the outsides brown with red-lined border. Measures: L. 155mm W. 125mm H. 50mm. Purchased: Bequest of H.M. King Gustaf VI Adolf. No 1509. Dossier: Denmark 1975, No 148; SCA, pl. 38:2. Condition: OK.”
