Enligt mejl 20250319 från Dr Clare Pollard (Curator of Japanese Art, Department of Eastern Art, Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, University of Oxford): " I asked Sagi Tamae-san, curator at the Kawai Kanjiro Kinenkan (and Kawai’s granddaughter) if she had any thoughts on the urn. She said she couldn’t give a proper, formal appraisal without seeing the piece in person but said that her initial impression from the images was that it was more likely to be a product of a mingei kiln, whether in Okinawa, Oita (Onta or Koishiwara) or Shimane. However, as Kawai Kanjiro made many copies of many varieties of ceramics as part of his research, she thought that this could also be a possibility."
Enligt Professor Ohashi (besök 2019) är burken s k Okinawa Tsuboya. /PH
