Ask med lock av rödlackerat trä, från Kina. Asken är dekorerad med skurna blommönster i djup relief.

Enligt katalogkort: “Chinese lacquer box and cover. Period: 2nd half 15th century. Description: Small round box in carved red lacquer. Domed cover, rounded sides, sund bottom. Decor of hibiscus flower. Lacquer applied on metal base. Interior black lacquered. Measures: D. 80mm H. 43mm. Purchased: Bequest of H.M. King Gustaf VI Adolf. No 1899. Dossier: J. Wirgin: BMFEA 44/1972, pl. 19.”
