Object description

Runt lerfat från Acoma. med ett fågelmotiv i mitten omgivet av tre blommor. Runt fatet en mörkbrun rand. I övrigt är motiven till största delen målade i en ljusbrun färgton på vit botten. På lerfatets baksida står textat: "sarah Garcia Acoma, N.M." Diam.:22cm. Inköpt i

Covered Wagon, Old Albuquerque för 29.50 dollars den 2/8 1969. Till lerfatet hör följande orig. etikett (se orig. katalogen) : "The parrots were brought up in 1538 by the Spanish Conquistadors in their hunt for the 7 cities- the Acomas have copied from then on."
