Vävnadsfragment från chullpagrav.Brunt med svagt synlig mönstring.

Portion of a belt. Very thick woolen warp rep, twill-patterned in two brown shades.

Warp, firmly S-twined in middle and reddish brown.

Weft, more loosely twined, very thick abt 3 mm., harsh, dark-brown.

Tightness of weave

Warp, 160 threads in 10 cm.

Weft, 20 " in 10 cm.

Size: length 30 cm., width 8.5 cm

This very end of the band is trimmed with dark-brown wool yarn, forming a plait. A fragment of a black cord made of human hair which is bound over the belt by its wearer is preserved at the same end of the belt. (katalogkort/originalbeskrivning)
