Object description

Klyka med rörligt metallstycke. För tillverkninig av bomullssnören. Forked stick with movable centerpiece for making woolen cord. The wool (imported) is lo/oped over each prong alternately and released in such a way that the cord is formed along the centerpiece. >

These cords are worn as long hoops round the necks of young girls, fallling to the waist, or are slung on babies, over one sholder and hanging down the other side of the body, and are used in the latter case for attaching charms. The cords are made for sale by old men. Purchased in soba, where it was made, from an old man in the market. November 1951. Orig 10 (katalogkort/originalbeskrivning)
