Object description

Kniv, bäres vid höften. Knife to be worn on the hip. Reputed to have been worn priorr to the British Occupation (i.e. at least 50 years old). The scabbard should have a metal tip. It should be mentionedthat the knife includes steel, wood, brass and copper

(the rivet), thus rendering innefective charms agains injury by any but a combination of these four materials. Probably made in Zaria City. Purchased from minor official, Soba, 1951. Orig 15
