Object description

off-white warp with two off-white weft-threads of cotton. Assymmetrical knots, open on the left side, ca. 2,160/dm2.

A diamondshape organisation of birds whith rose bouquets in dark red, pinkish red, olive green, light green, lpale blue, yellow and dark brown on an off-white ground. Framed by a thin frame of flower cartoucheson dark blue or off-white ground.

ever in Sweden that was entirely devoted to this theme. The first was held in 1946 in connection with the 25th anniversary of the Swedish Oriental Society. In conjuction with the exhibition in 1998 there was an international symposium which was attended by several leading
international carpet researchers.
