Arne, Ture J:son (1879-05-07 - 1965-08-02), archaeologist

Description: Ture Arne Johnson, born May 7, 1879 in Söderköping, died 2 August 1965, Swedish archaeologist.
PhD in Uppsala in 1914 with the thesis "La Suède et l'Orient, études sur les relations archéologiques de la Suède et de l'Orient pendant l'Age des Vikings". Arne's field of work was mainly the contacts between Scandinavia and the early Russia.

Mottled beige on pale green surface.

Conservation - Executed

Cleaning and conservation report. D-nr 16454012, 250795. Corrosion: dirty with sand and other soil particles. Surface rather even, corrosion under dirt layer hard, dark, greyish green color. Original surface is represented in this corrosion layer. Separate small spots of hard, grainy, dark green corrosion on top of original surface layer. Complete, strong metallic core; no active corrosion. One small recently drilled hole, filled with some resin. Treatment: cleaned mechanically with scalpel, bristle brush and small soft rotating iron brush on motor. Surface is polished with soft bristle brush using a small amount of bee's wax.
