Mortar from the Pyramid of Khafre (circa 2560 BC)
- Object description
- The mortar is a mixture of plaster, water and sand. Pottery sherds were also often used as a binder. This piece was hacked off and brought home by an unknown Swedish traveller at the end of the nineteenth century.
