Object description: The Swedish excavations at Dendra were initiated in 1926 when Axel W. Persson investigated a Mycenaean tholos tomb (Late Helladic IIIa period, c. 1450–1350 BC) at the site. In 1927 Persson explored three more graves, while the local ephor N. Bertos excavated another two.

Description, Swedish: Vid Dendrá i Argolis grävde Axel W. Persson ut en oplundrad kupolgrav sommaren 1926. I graven låg en kung, en drottning och en prinsessa begravna tillsammans med dyrbara gravgåvor: praktfulla guldsvärd, en guldskål och en silverskål. Tidigare hade endast en mykensk kupolgrav påträffats delvis intakt, i Vafio 1889. Fynden tillfördes Atens nationalmuseum. Året därpå gjordes ytterligare utgrvningar i andra gravar på platsen. Även Alfred Westholm deltog.
