Object description: I should not expect that this type of doll, generally found much farther west in the Bambara-Dogon-Mossi region, would be made so far to the east as Abu-Deia, although it is not impossible. It is possible that its presence there would be due in some way to the passage of pilgrims to and from Mecca. I cannot say what tribe made it, as other examples that I know are not well documented.
