Object description: Mould-made lamp. Oval shape with long nozzle and carinated body. Circular filling-hole. Flat shoulder decorated with relief pattern of encircling ridges. Four incised dots in front of wick-hole. Stub-handle decorated with a vertical, incised line. Base decorated with an incised pattern, following the shape of the underside. Buff clay, reddish slip.

Arne, Ture J:son (1879-05-07 - 1965-08-02), archaeologist

Description: Ture Arne Johnson, born May 7, 1879 in Söderköping, died 2 August 1965, Swedish archaeologist.
PhD in Uppsala in 1914 with the thesis "La Suède et l'Orient, études sur les relations archéologiques de la Suède et de l'Orient pendant l'Age des Vikings". Arne's field of work was mainly the contacts between Scandinavia and the early Russia.
