Object description: Mould-made lamp. Circular shape with long nozzle and biconical body. Slightly raised base. Concave disc with a circular filling-hole. Wide, slightly sloping shoulder decorated with incised, encircling radial lines. Two side knobs. Palmette ornaments in relief at the base of wick-holder. Pale reddish-brown clay clay, buff slip.

Arne, Ture J:son (1879-05-07 - 1965-08-02), archaeologist

Description: Ture Arne Johnson, born May 7, 1879 in Söderköping, died 2 August 1965, Swedish archaeologist.
PhD in Uppsala in 1914 with the thesis "La Suède et l'Orient, études sur les relations archéologiques de la Suède et de l'Orient pendant l'Age des Vikings". Arne's field of work was mainly the contacts between Scandinavia and the early Russia.
