Object description: p. 152: Cooking pot of mat-red coarse ware with flat base, oval body, short, slightly concave neck and a handle running from the upper part of the shoulder to the rim. p. 203: Coarse earthenware. Mat-red, non-polished, mixed with sandy grains and badly burnt. Cooking-utensil with handle. Traces of soot on the lower part of the body. The base is flat. Slightly depressed shoulder. The neck is short, slightly concaved with plain rim. The handle runs from the upper part of the shoulder to the rim.

Description: Ture Arne Johnson, born May 7, 1879 in Söderköping, died 2 August 1965, Swedish archaeologist.
PhD in Uppsala in 1914 with the thesis "La Suède et l'Orient, études sur les relations archéologiques de la Suède et de l'Orient pendant l'Age des Vikings". Arne's field of work was mainly the contacts between Scandinavia and the early Russia.
