Object description: Flat rim, slightly sloping inwards. Trough-shaped deep, open spout. Biconical body, lower part tapering sharply towards the base. Base almost cylindrical, flat underneath. Dark brown clay, brownish polish. Decoration consisting of three bordered, encircling, latticed bands alternating with two zigzag bands.

Description: Ture Arne Johnson, born May 7, 1879 in Söderköping, died 2 August 1965, Swedish archaeologist.
PhD in Uppsala in 1914 with the thesis "La Suède et l'Orient, études sur les relations archéologiques de la Suède et de l'Orient pendant l'Age des Vikings". Arne's field of work was mainly the contacts between Scandinavia and the early Russia.
